“PaleFace” – A Soaring Portrait of Freedom

In case you haven’t heard I love all things with feathers and fins.  At one of my favourite places to camp I became so familiar with my feathered friends I knew what time of day it was from the birdsong!  With more than 200 species in this area, they completely ignored me (from my folding table that doubled as a desk) and went about their business.  This palefaced parrot was feeding on thistles with its mate a few metres away.  It takes me back to a peaceful day listening to the sounds of the bush.  The grand finale of this special place was when the cows brought their babies to the back door where they licked them all over just before sunset (maybe like all mums, the idea of calming the kids with a bath before bed is always worth a try).
